Dashay Fisher scored a game-high 26 points as the Reuther boys basketball team defeated visiting St. Anthony, 71-60, in a WIAA Division-4 regional quarterfinal on Tuesday.
It was the Bulldogs’ first postseason win since beating Christian Life, 62-54, in a 2010 regional quarterfinal.
CENTRAL 51, REUTHER 43
Central built a 10-point halftime lead and held off Reuther for a 51-43 non-conference victory in Paddock Lake on Tuesday night. ... Glenn Karsten scored 12 points and grabbed 15 rebounds and Tyler Stoxen and Luke Millhouse added 11 points apiece to lead the balanced Falcons (7-14). ... “We played like a tired team tonight,” said Central coach Dave Sjong, 24 hours after a tough loss to Wilmot. “We used our size, but missed a bunch of easy baskets inside. Reuther plays much bigger than their size. They are a well-coached team who plays hard.” ... Central shot 15-of-20 from the free-throw line compared to just 4-of-11 for Reuther. ... Aavery Brice scored a game-high 18 points and Javion Johnson chipped in 12 for the Bulldogs (8-9). ... Reuther cut it a 30-20 halftime deficit to 38-31 after three quarters, but Joey Beach scored five of his season-high eight points in the final eight minute for the victorious Falcons.

This time the Reuther boys basketball team didn’t let its big lead slip away.
Dashay Fisher’s game-high 20 points wasn’t enough as Reuther lost to host Lake Geneva Badger, 61-39, in a non-conference game. ... The Bulldogs (3-6) trailed 33-20 at halftime and were held to just six points in the third quarter. ... Demetrius Jordan scored 14 points.
KENOSHA — Dashay Fisher recorded a triple-double with 22 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists as the Reuther boys basketball team blasted visiting University Lake School, 78-43, in an Indian Trails Conference game Wednesday.
The Bulldogs (3-3, 3-0) remained undefeated in the ITC.
The Shoreland boys basketball team survived a thriller in edging host Reuther, 55-53, in a non-conference game Thursday.
Reuther’s Aavery Brice missed a potential game-winning 3-pointer from the wing with one second remaining as the Bulldogs nearly overcame a five-point deficit in the final 20 seconds.
REUTHER 63, UNIVERSITY LAKE 40
Aavery Brice scored 15 of his team-high 26 points in the first quarter as Reuther (1-0) handled University Lake School in the non-conference season opener. ... Sophomore Jakeem Brantley added 11 points and 15 rebounds for the Bulldogs. ... “It’s always nice to get the jitters out of the way,” Reuther coach Jon Otto said. “We have a group of seniors with a goal in their mind and they’re working hard. It was nice opening up with a win.”
