Thompson local winner in NASCAR ‘U Pick ’em’ contest
David Thompson was the local winner in the Kenosha News’ NASCAR “U Pick ’Em Checkered Flag” contest for his picks in the Subway Fresh Fit 500 at the Phoenix International Raceway on April 18.
Thompson, a Burlington resident, earned two tickets to the May 13 Milwaukee Brewers-Florida Marlins game at Miller Park and a month extension to his Kenosha News subscription. Thompson was first with 616 points. Kenosha’s Pam Jenkins was second with 603.
To enter the season-long contest, visit kenoshanews.com and click on the “U Pick ’Em Checkered Flag” banner and start playing. Weekly national champions win a NASCAR watch and a giant NASCAR decal. The national contest, which features a trip to the Richard Petty Driving Experience as the grand prize, counts a player’s top 15 races so there is still plenty of time to enter.
Registration is required. For complete rules, click on the rules section of the contest on our Web site.
