UWP is 5-4 heading into the non-conference game against the National Christian College Athletic Association school.
Judson, also an NAIA Division II school, is 2-10. The Eagles ended a 10-game losing streak in their last outing by outlasting St. Francis (Ill.) 102-92 in double overtime.
Judson got big games out of sophomore guards Landon Skinner (27 points and 11 rebounds) and Marious Lobdell (25 points) in posting its first victory since Nov. 6.
This team likes to score. The Eagles have logged at least 70 points in each game this season.
This team also gives up a lot of points. Judson is yielding a whopping 92.6 points a game.
Seeking its first three-game winning streak since January of 2008, Parkside has won four of its last five after starting the season 1-3.
Coach Luke Reigel has slowly gotten injured players back into lineup while continually getting big games from Grant Johnson and Jeremy Saffold.
Johnson, a Christian Life graduate, is averaging a team-best 19 points a game. A transfer from Madison Area Technical College, Johnson has led UWP in scoring in six games this season.
Saffold, a freshman from Hazel Crest, Ill., is averaging 16.6 points a game. A 6-foot-6 forward, Saffold is also averaging 5.6 rebounds a game.
NotesThis is the second meeting between the schools. Parkside won 88-66 in Kenosha on Feb. 26, 1985. ... Johnson is fifth in the GLVC in scoring. ... This is Parkside’s second-to-last non-league game. Parkside concludes its non-conference schedule with a home game against Upper Iowa Dec. 29.
