WILMOT — It was understandable that the players on the Wilmot boys basketball team didn’t know what to do following their 47-40 WIAA Division-2 regional final victory over Waterford on Saturday night.

WILMOT — A WIAA Division-2 regional semifinal that was competitive for a half turned into a runaway 68-40 victory for the top-seeded Wilmot boys basketball team over ninth-seeded Central on Friday night.

BURLINGTON — Denied a share of the Southern Lakes Conference title after suffering a 59-51 loss to league powerhouse Burlington in the regular-season finale on Friday night, the Wilmot boys basketball team could take solace in one thing.
If the Panthers exert the same effort that they did in the second half, they can be a dangerous team when the WIAA playoffs tip off next week.

WILMOT — The calendar says February, but anyone leaving Wilmot Monday night contracted at least a mild case of March Madness.
In an atmosphere befitting a late-round postseason battle, not to mention a county rivalry, Andrew Lartey scored four points in the final 20 seconds to lead the Wilmot boys basketball team to a 59-56 come-from-behind win over Central in an exhilarating Southern Lakes Conference game.
WATERFORD — How good has the Wilmot boys basketball team been this season?
Good enough where defeating the Panthers is cause for the opposing student section to storm the floor in celebration.

WILMOT — Tempered enthusiasm.
That would be the best way to describe the Wilmot boys basketball team after it claimed sole possession of first place in the Southern Lakes Conference with a 54-49 victory over visiting Burlington on Friday night.

PADDOCK LAKE — If you’ve watched enough basketball, it seems like most nights offense is as unpredictable as gambling.
Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.
Mike Stevenson scored a game-high 16 points as the Wilmot boys basketball team improved to 5-1 with a 55-44 Southern Lakes Conference victory over visiting Waterford on Thursday night.
Mike Hensel and Bryce Kothe each added 10 points, and Andrew Lartey scored nine for the Panthers (2-0 SLC).
