It's all about YOU!
YOUR SPACE: JULY 29
Name: Lynn M. Kiser
Current city of residence: Kenosha
Hometown: Kenosha
Education: Tech school
Age: 52
Occupation: Customer service rep/food steward, Speedway SuperAmerica
If you weren't in the job you are in now, where would you be: Probably working in another fast-paced, customer service position, where I could have fun and interact with people!
Coolest/Strangest thing about your family The coolest thing about my family is watching my four grandchildren grow up! They range in age from 14 to 6. Watching them learn, play sports, excel in school and developing their respective personalities is AWESOME!!
Pets: Gibbey and Jack, two cats! Gibbey has always been a very affectionate, loving cat, but the cheese is slipping off the cracker just a bit, which makes her a bit whimsical! Jack, her brother, is the neighborhood mascot, and is always bringing home strays! I think he hopes we will adopt them, too!
Do you sing in the shower (if so what): My voice is a cross between Yoko Ono and Willie Nelson, so, NO, I do NOT sing in the shower!
Favorite songs: Oldies, mostly, because they bring back great memories of when I was growing up, and you can understand the words and they make sense.
Favorite reads: Autobiographies, cooking magazines, Country Home and Country Living magazines, and, of course, the Kenosha News!
How often do you read the newspaper: Every day, first thing in the morning, over a cup of coffee.
Favorite television shows: "House," "Extreme Home Makeover" and "American Idol."
Favorite movies: Action, comedy and "Shrek"
What is your dream job: To be a photographer! I love taking pictures!
Best movie you have seen recently: I recently saw "Terms of Endearment" on TV. Now, that is a classic!
Favorite foods: Prime rib, medium, with a baked potato the size of Cincinnati, smothered in butter!
Weirdest thing you have ever eaten: Crab legs... Sorry, you seafood lovers out there, but there is just something about the consistancy ......
Sports: GO PACK!!! True Green and Gold, forever!!
Hobbies: Scrapbooking, going to rummage sales, gardening, photography, and of course, my grandchildren!
Craziest thing you have ever tried: Scraping the finish off a hardwood floor with a putty knife! It was a lot of work, though, and well worth the trouble, as it turned out beautiful!
Are you religious: Yes. I grew up Catholic and attended Catholic schools, and now attend St. James Church. I have always believed in a Supreme Being and Life after Death. My faith sustains me on a daily basis.
A famous celebrity I have met: I've met several, but the most memorable was Ray Nitschke of the Green Bay Packers. My husband and I had the opportunity to spend an entire evening with him, and he was just a fabulous, down-to-earth person. He was larger than life, and such a humble man, with a wonderful sense of humor! He let me try on his Super Bowl Ring, and three of MY fingers fit into it! Six weeks later, he died. I was just heartbroken, but so thankful of my chance to spend time with him.
Celebrity you want to meet: Sean Connery.
Something people didn't know about you: I am an avid stamp collector!
Favorite destination (outside Kenosha County): Cancun, Mexico!
Place you most want to visit: Denmark, the birthplace of my ancestors, and Italy, just because!
A special talent you have: I am a super organizer! I'd love to hire myself out to organize offices, kitchens, closets, etc! I hate wasted space, and most people don't even recognize all the wasted space they have that could be put to good use!
Biggest pet peeve: People that don't use their directional signals, and people who say, 'I'm 25, going on 26.' No kidding.
What is your worst habit: I talk too much!
