Happy 75 th Anniversary

James & Lorene Lawrence
James and Lorene Lawrence of Kenosha will be celebrating their 75th wedding anniversary
on January 24th. Jim who was born in Louisiana, Missouri and Lorene {Lawson} who was
born in Caryville, Tennessee met in 1947 at a dance in Oakridge, Tennessee. The couple
married in Rossville, Georgia on January 24th, 1948 and moved to Kenosha the following
year. Jim retired from American Motors in 1985. Lorene worked at Southern Colony and
Brookside nursing home. They are members of Kenosha Christian Fellowship Church. They
enjoy gardening, bluegrass, country and gospel music, going to the Golden Corral with their
friends and spending time with their family. James and Lorene have six children. They also
have 15 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren. They say
the key to a lasting relationship is to treat each other with respect and to have faith in God
