Details for PIASECKI FUNERAL HOME - Ad from 2020-06-21

It is with great pride and tremendous gratitude that we at the Piasecki Funeral
Home would like to announce Matthew J. Martin as a new partner, effective
June 2020.
"To be in the funeral service requires a rare blend of empathy, grace under
pressure, and collaborative spirit," said Nancy Piasecki, President of Piasecki
Funeral Home. "Not everyone has the experience or disposition to assemble
these qualities, but we are extremely fortunate to have found them exemplified
in Matt Martin. Having worked as a firefighter paramedic for over two decades,
Matt understands how critically important it is for members of a team to
mutually support one another. He has a bright, compassionate vision for the
future of the funeral home, and we are honored to have him share it with us."
Matt was born and raised in Racine and has been a resident of Southeastern
Wisconsin since graduating from Lake Superior State University in 1996.
Prior to joining our team, Matt proudly served the Kenosha Fire Department
as a firefighter and paramedic. His tenacity and leadership in these roles
ultimately saw him promoted to fire lieutenant during his tenure with the
department, a testament to the dedication that he carries into his every endeavor.

Every Detail Counts.
Every Memory Matters.

Although Matt is a new partner, he is not new to the funeral home. Several years
ago, Matt worked part time for Piasecki Funeral Home. No stranger to
community involvement, Matt has given countless hours to Southeastern
Wisconsin communities through youth safety programs, fundraisers and other
events. Matt is also a seasoned bagpiper, playing with the Kenosha Area Pipes
and Drums Association (KAPDA), honoring those in public safety who have
been lost in the line of duty to their communities. Both he and his daughter,
Gabby, are deeply involved in the special needs community, and also serve as
advocates for the Racine County Opportunity Center and Kenosha Achievement
Center. They have done all this work whilst also being established and active
members of two churches: Mt. Pleasant Lutheran Church in Racine and Journey
Church in Kenosha.
Recognizing his 23 years of dedicated service to the citizens of Kenosha, we
congratulate Matt for his distinguished history as benefactor, mentor, and pillar
of the community. We are excited to welcome his leadership to our team, and
look forward to the creative, compassionate contributions he will make to the
families we serve.
