“I’m surprised and honored we have won,” said Chef David Perez, owner/operator of the business at 2301 63rd St. “It’s not something we were pursuing, but we did it with a lot of hard work. I’d like to thank the public for taking the time to vote for us. I’m just the orchestra of the band. It’s due to my wife, the staff here and us all working on the goals we have every day.”
“When I started in this business over 18 years ago, my goal was to be the best possible caterer we could be,” he said, noting he wanted to do something he was passionate about. His parents had given him a lot of entrepreneurial background. “My wife said what I was passionate about is what I should be doing,” a decision which led to opening the business, Perez said.
