Dr. Vincent C. and Mary C. Rizzo, lifelong Kenosha residents, recently held a private ceremony to bless their marriage followed by a family dinner at Salute Italian Restaurant, Racine, in honor of their golden wedding anniversary. The celebration with their family continued aboard an Alaskan cruise.
Vincent and Mary C. Fulmer met through Mary’s older brother on the day she graduated from high school. They were married at St. Mark’s Catholic Church in Kenosha on June 29, 1968.

Mary worked as a registered nurse at St. Catherine’s Hospital for 10 years, Hospitality Manor Nursing Home for 20 years and has worked with her husband at his office for 15 years. They are lifelong members of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and have been active in church activities, including serving on the Parish Council, Finance Committee and volunteering at the Summer Festival.
The Rizzos have four children: Catherine Koessl and Dr. Vincent M. (Louisa) Rizzo, both of Kenosha; John (Laura) Rizzo, Shorewood; and Dr. Janet (Ryan) Duemke, Hartland. They also have four grandchildren.
They say the key to a successful and lasting relationship is “God only knows.”
