Jasmine Wright of Kenosha, an elementary education major at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, has been selected as a Warhawk Ambassador for the current academic year. Ambassadors serve as the face of the school, representing the student population to visiting dignitaries, alumni and community members.
Katelyn Martensen of Kenosha has been named to the dean’s list for the summer semester at Mercy College of Health Sciences, Des Moines, Iowa. To qualify, students must attain a grade point average between 3.50 and 3.749.
Kelly Andrichik, an officer with the UW-Parkside Police Department, is one of 14 recipients of the University of Wisconsin system’s Dr. P.B. Poorman Award for Outstanding Achievement on Behalf of LGBTQ+ People, an annual honor given to LGBTQ+ people or their allies who have fostered a safer and more inclusive climate. The honorees will be celebrated in a Nov. 8 ceremony hosted by UW System President Ray Cross.
