Indian Trail High School & Academy

Most memorable high school moment: Winning Key Club’s Best Club Video Award at a district convention in Green Bay, Wisconsin is a moment that I will never forget. Going up to accept the award in front of over 800 cheering people from various Key Clubs within the region brought me to tears. To make matters even better, I was surrounded by my fellow Key Club officers and adviser, Ms. Martin. I would especially like to thank Anamay Del Real and Jeremiah Richie for all of the support they’ve given me. These two especially have molded me into the best possible version of myself.
Most influential teacher: Jane Rider
Class taught: Newspaper and IT-TV Video Announcements
Please explain why: Ms. Rider delivers the perfect combination of constructive criticism and encouragement. I can genuinely tell that her number one goal is to push her students to levels that are beyond what they thought was possible. She’s always down to have a good laugh, and shows compassion towards every student that walks into her classroom. I have grown exponentially as a journalist and as a person in the past two years under Ms. Rider’s instruction, and I aspire to be as passionate and dedicated to my job one day as she is to teaching.

What I hope to accomplish in my lifetime (medical cure, fame, etc.): I aspire to become a sports broadcaster seeing that I have been a sports fanatic ever since I could walk. Nothing describes a dream come true for me better than being able to get my intake on the sports world across a broad spectrum. Additionally, I want nothing less than to be able to help my community in any way possible. This world is a much greater place when we all join hands and assist those in need.
