Most memorable high school moment: There are so many, but my favorite was attending the JEA/NSPA National High School Journalism Convention in Chicago for four days with my Yearbook class. It was so much fun bonding with my friends in such a beautiful city.
Most influential teacher: Michelle Corbett, Jane Rider
Class taught: Yearbook, Newspaper
Please explain why: Ms. Corbett has given me a safe space to be myself and to be a part of a family/team. She has inspired me with her commitment and dedication to helping us be successful individually and as a class. Ms. Rider has inspired me to pursue my love of writing. She has taught me about the importance of journalism and how it has given me a voice in the world around me. She has encouraged me in developing leadership skills and in pursuing my creative interests.

Other school activities: Treble Choir, Women’s Choir, co-creator and presenter of the power point presentation for prospective students at the Communications Academy Open House

What I hope to accomplish in my lifetime: I want to design and run a small business that will allow me to have an outlet for my creativity and desire to make the world a happier place.
