Betsy Ade on "The Voice": A timeline


June 2018: Kenoshan Betsy Ade auditions for NBC’s “The Voice” in Chicago.

August 2018: Ade auditions in Los Angeles for the show’s executive producers and is chosen for the show.

March 5: Ade performs on the show, singing Florence + The Machine’s “Hunger” during the “blind auditions” before the show’s four celebrity judges/coaches. John Legend and Adam Levine both turn their chairs around and try to grab Ade for their team. She selects Legend.

April 8: Ade and fellow Team Legend member Lisa Ramey both perform the Brandi Carlisle song “The Joke” during the “battle rounds.” Legend opts to keep Ramey on his team; Kelly Clarkson “steals” Ade for Team Kelly.

April 15: Team Kelly’s Ade faces off against Kim Cherry of Team Blake (Shelton) in the show’s “cross battles” round. Ade performs Alanis Morissette’s hit “You Oughta Know.”

April 16: On the results show, host Carson Daly announces Cherry has topped Ade in the voting, done by the show’s viewers. Legend and Levine both jump in to “save” Ade. She choose Team Levine, joining her third “Voice” team.

April 29: On a live episode, Ade will perform with the other Top 24 singers. The top 8 vote getters will stay on the show, and each of the four coaches has one “save.” Results will be announced April 30.
