The Bristol Renaissance Faire, "where fantasy rules," opens Saturday for its 32nd anniversary season. 

It will be open weekends from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Sept. 2. 

Here's what you need to know when you go:

n Where: The fair is located just west of I-94’s Russell Road exit.

n When: Open 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, July 6 through Sept. 2 (Labor Day)

n What you’ll find: The fair has its usual mix of strolling jesters, jugglers, stilt-walkers and mud eaters. You’ll also find a Kids Kingdom, several stages of entertainment, the daily “Pub Crawl” and 175 vendors selling everything from hand-crafted leather works to sparring weapons.

n Admission: $25.95 for adults, $11.50 for children ages 5-12 and free for children 4 and younger.

n Opening weekend special: Children 12 and younger get in free with a paying adult. (No coupon required; limit six children per adult.)

n Theme weekends: Swashbuckler Weekend (July 13-14), come dressed as your “inner pirate”; Marketplace Weekend (July 20-21), spend $250 at the fair’s vendors in a single day to receive two free tickets to the 2019 fair; Rennconn Weekend (July 27-28), celebrating cosplay in all its forms; Monsters & Magic Weekend (Aug. 3-4); Steampunk Invasion (Aug. 10-11), come dressed in your best time-traveling attire; Heroes & Villains (Aug. 17-18), described as “a weekend filled with daring deeds and wicked mischief”; Salute to Military & Scouts Weekend (Aug. 24-25), leaders and scouts in uniforms get in for a reduced price; Final Weekend (Aug. 31-Sept. 2).
