Enjoy these Kenosha area events and more this weekend:

Today (July 18) through Sunday, enjoy the Country Thunder Music Festival at 2305 Lance Drive in Twin Lakes. The annual country music festival features “today’s hottest acts, tomorrow’s fresh new faces and yesterday’s traditional but established country hit-makers.” The 2019 headliners are Jake Owen, Tim McGraw, Luke Combs and Chris Stapleton. Friday through Sunday, enjoy the Tribute Island Music Festival on Simmons Island, 5001 Fourth Ave. It starts at 5 p.m. Friday and at 11 a.m. Saturday and Sunday (July 19-21). The event features the most celebrated tribute acts from across the Midwest playing a wide variety of the most popular music of the last half century. Friday evening, enjoy the Pike River Benefit Concert Series, starting at 6 p.m. at Hawthorn Hollow, 880 Green Bay Road. Enjoy an evening of live music at an outdoor amphitheater nestled along the Pike River. This performance features Trombone Dave and the Lawn Clippings (jazz and blues). Food and beverages will be available for purchase; no carry-ins allowed. $10 admission. For more information, call 262-552-8196.

Saturday night, learn about Mammals of Southeastern Wisconsin at a program from 7 to 8 p.m. at Richard Bong State Recreation Area, 26313 Burlington Road. Participants will examine furs, skulls, prints and photos to discover what makes mammals special and which ones live in the park. Meet at the Visitor Center. The program is free, but a valid state park vehicle admission sticker is required to enter Bong: $8 per day for vehicles with Wisconsin plates ($3 for senior citizens) and $11 per day for vehicles with out-of-state plates. Sunday, stop by the Kenosha ArtMarket, 10 a.m. at 2 p.m. at Union Park, 4600 7th Ave. Shop for original art created by area artists and enjoy live performances. This summer art market takes place on the third Sunday of each month, through October. Admission is free.Sunday’s market, the second ArtMarket, will feature 10 new artists plus music from The Craic and Swing Fandango. For more information, call 262-605-4745.
