The Southport Light Station Museum is open at 5117 Fourth Ave. At the free maritime museum, inside the keeper’s house, visitors can learn about local shipwrecks, lighthouse keepers, shipping, fishing, and more. Also, visitors can climb the 1866 Southport Lighthouse. The fee to climb $10 for adults and $5 for children 8 to 12. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday-Saturday and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday through October. For more information, call 262-654-5770.
