Ladies’ Heart sets January luncheon

The Ladies’ Heart Luncheon will be held at noon Jan. 15 at the Parkway Chateau, 12304 75th St.

The group consists of Christ-centered, Bible-believing women from the southeastern Wisconsin area. They meet on the third Tuesday of each month, except November and December when the luncheon is on the second Tuesday. All ladies are welcome.

The January speaker is Donna Brendel. Married to Derek, they have three children. She is executive director of “twentyTHREE61,” which helps women heal from abortion, sexual trauma and pornography. Her topic is “My Boast: I know Christ and His Peace and His Power.”

The luncheon cost is $11 per person, which includes the meal, beverage, tax and tip. Dessert is furnished by volunteers. No childcare is provided.

Somers church offers free diapers, wipes to needy

SOMERS — Somers Community United Church of Christ, 9918 12th St., is offering free diapers and wipes to families in need from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays.

Parents or authorized caregivers need to bring photo identification and a utility bill with current address.

Women who are expecting may begin visiting the diaper bank at the beginning of their third trimester.
