Annual festival procession July 14
KENOSHA — Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Kenosha will hold its annual festival procession on Sunday, July 14. The procession is in honor of Our Lady of Mount Carmel.
Line-up for the procession will be at 12:30 p.m. that day in front of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on 19th Avenue and 54th Street. The procession will begin at 1 p.m. and proceed north on 19th Avenue to 53rd Street. It will then go west on 53rd Street to 23rd Avenue, then south on 23rd Avenue to 55th Street, then east on 55th Street to 19th Avenue and then north on 19th Avenue back to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
The procession will end inside the church with benediction around 2 p.m.
Residents and businesses along the procession route should be aware of the procession route and time.
The procession is part of the 72nd annual Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church festival, which will take place on Friday, July 12, from 6 to 11 p.m.; on Saturday, July 13, from 4 to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, July 14, from 2 to 10 p.m. in Columbus Park, located on 22nd Avenue and 54th Street. The festival’s homemade spaghetti dinner will be Friday, July 12, and Saturday, July 13, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the church hall.

New Heart Luncheon to be held on July 16
KENOSHA — The Ladies’ New Heart Luncheon will be held Tuesday at noon, July 16, at the Parkway Chateau, 12304 75th St.
The nondenominational group consists of Christ-centered, Bible-believing women from the southeastern Wisconsin area. They meet on the third Tuesday of each month, except November and December when the luncheon is on the second Tuesday. All are welcome, especially youths.
The speaker, Kaitlin Creed, is in her early twenties and has been married for two years. She is the head lifeguard at the Kenosha YMCA. Katie also works with youths and teenagers at her local church. Her topic is: “Finding Rest.”
Luncheon cost is $11/person, which includes the meal, beverage, tax and tip. Dessert is furnished by volunteers. No childcare is provided.

Vacation Bible School at Peace Lutheran
WILMOT — Peace Lutheran Church in Wilmot has announced its summer plans for Vacation Bible School.
It will be held July 22-26 at the church, from 9 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. each day. There is no cost. Children ages 4 and older are welcome.
The theme is “Set Sail!”

Somers church offers free diapers, wipes
SOMERS — Somers Community United Church of Christ, 9918 12th St., is offering free diapers and wipes to families in need from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays.
Parents or authorized caregivers need to bring photo identification and a utility bill with current address.
Women who are expecting may begin visiting the diaper bank at the beginning of their third trimester.
