Church hosting free clothing giveaway

SILVER LAKE — Community Baptist Church, 203 N. Fourth St., in Silver Lake, is hosting a free clothing giveaway next week that is open to the public.

It continues today from 10 a.m. to noon.

Clothing for infants, toddlers, girls, boys, ladies, mens and junior attire is available, along with winter jackets, shoes and accessories.

Park in the parking lot and the church and enter through the front door off the alley.

Fair trade holiday boutique, meal plannedKENOSHA — Operation Outpour will host “Raise the Roof 2.0” a fair trade Christmas boutique and soup supper fundraiser on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 4-6 p.m. at Kenosha Christian Reformed Church, 7506 25th Ave.

All purchases help support Operation Outpour and the Haiti school building project. Ticket prices are $10 for adults and children over 12; $5 for children age 3-12.

ets luncheon

KENOSHA — The Catholic Woman’s Club of Kenosha will hold its Christmas luncheon on Monday, Dec. 9, at Kenosha Country Club.

It will feature a 11 a.m. social and 11:30 a.m. buffet lunch Reservations are due by phone by Tuesday Dec. 3, at 5 p.m. by calling 262-764-7176 or 262-551-5492 .The luncheon is $10 for club members, $25 for guests.

Ladies’ New Heart luncheon planned

KENOSHA — The Ladies’ New Heart luncheon will be at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 10, at the Parkway Chateau, 12304 75th St.

The program ‘What Is Happening In The Barn?’ will feature the Kenosha Senior Center Forever Young choral group singing Christmas/holiday favorites with audience participation directed by Patti Burke. A skit and a mystery guest are also scheduled.

The non-demoninational group consists of Christ-centered, Bible-believing women from southeast Wisconsin. All ladies are welcome. The luncheon cost is $11. No child care is provided.

Bible Church hosts Celebrate Recovery

KENOSHA — Celebrate Recovery meets at 6:30 p.m. Thursdays at Kenosha Bible Church, 5405 67th St.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, 12-step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurts, hangups or habits of any kind. Meetings are open to anyone 18 years or older.

Beth Hillel to host guest speaker

KENOSHA — Richard Goldwasser, will speak on: “Road to 61” at Beth Hillel Temple, 6050 Eighth Ave., on Dec. 21, at noon.

Amember of the national board of J-Street, Goldwasser will explain the recent inconclusive Israeli elections and what the outcome may mean for prospects for peace.

Lunch will be served. RSVP to the Beth Hillel Temple office (office@bethhillel.net) but not required. The program is free and open to the public.

Somers church offers diapers, wipes

SOMERS — Somers Community United Church of Christ, 9918 12th St., is offering free diapers and wipes to families in need from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays.

Parents or authorized caregivers need to bring photo identification and a utility bill with current address.

Women who are expecting may begin visiting the diaper bank at the beginning of their third trimester.
