Folk singer to perform at Bradford Church

Folk singer Tom Neilson will present an evening of satire and social commentary at 7 p.m. March 29 at Bradford Community Church, 5810 Eighth Ave.

Retreat day set for Christian women

Kenosha Bible Church is hosting “Abide,” a women’s spring day retreat, on April 13 at 5405 67th St.

Doors open at 8 a.m. for check-in, registration and breakfast refreshments, and the retreat begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m.

The day includes singing, workshops, discussions and lunch.

It is a day for Christian women to take time out from other priorities to dig into what Scripture and the life of Christ teach about abiding in him.

The event is open to all women in the community. Registration is $10 and includes breakfast refreshments, lunch and all materials.

Church plans free, family Easter event

KENOSHA — Mount Zion Lutheran Church, 5927 37th Ave., is hosting a free family Easter event for children on Saturday, April 13, from 9 to 11:30 a.m.

Somers church offers diapers, wipes

SOMERS — Somers Community United Church of Christ, 9918 12th St., is offering free diapers and wipes to families in need from 2 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays.

Parents or authorized caregivers need to bring photo identification and a utility bill with current address.

Women who are expecting may begin visiting the diaper bank at the beginning of their third trimester.
