Where are you from? Kenosha
How long have you been selling at the market? We are entering our eighth summer (July Fourth weekend is our anniversary).
What dates in 2019 do you plan to be at the market? All except June 22, when we were asked to be at the Bloody Mary Fest in Milwaukee.
Products sold at the market: Gourmet chips and Amish condiments including salsa and maple syrup. Other items as discovered.
Top seller on Saturdays at the market: This last week we took 14 flavors of gourmet chips as well as six flavors of Amish and ALL sold out! We sold over 270 items in the 300 minutes of market!
How did you get started? I needed extra income and I enjoy attending markets! When the opportunity presented itself, I jumped in and using my Granny’s sugar and spice on pie crust, created Twisted Cinnamon Chips and then more and more flavors.
What do regular customers say about you? Customers are amazed at the wide and wild selection we have and love finding something new. I am always pleased yet surprised by their reactions.
What do you like about Kenosha’s market? It’s a vibrant piece of Kenosha that draws a large variety of people. It’s a destination people want to come to.
What’s your most unique or unusual market story? The photo (above right) shows one of my helpers, Zach Neumann, singing with the barbershoppers. We always try to entertain people and their taste buds!
Do you have other favorite stands at the market? Too many to list. I buy my produce, garden plants, butter, eggs, jewelry, bread, lunch, etc. Not everything every week, but I try to help support my friends!
