AMC Kenosha beam signing 2

Kenosha Aurora Medical Center employees sign a construction beam that will eventually top Aurora’s new facility now under construction in Pleasant Prairie. On the right side of the beam, front to back, are Linda Ellis, Kathy Pierce-Naumann, Kendra Duffield and Shelley Meyer. On the left side of the beam, from front to back, are Barb Weiher and La Tasha Johnson.

There was a special delivery recently at Aurora Medical Center, 10400 75th St.

It’s not a boy or a girl. It’s a beam!

The beam is destined to become part of Aurora Health Center Pleasant Prairie, which is under construction.

The health center will consist of an ambulatory surgery center and medical office building.

Construction workers soon will place the last steel beam atop the medical office building, signaling that the structure has reached its ultimate height.

To highlight this milestone, construction firm Boldt brought a beam to the hospital’s atrium for team members to sign.

It will remain in the atrium until Friday, when it will be transported to the Pleasant Prairie job site and eventually installed.

Aurora employees are encouraged to sign the beam before it is lifted into place.

Pleasant Prairie village officials also have been invited to sign it.

The expected opening for Aurora Health Center Pleasant Prairie is summer 2020.
