Job fair slated this week at Job Center
Southeastern WORKS is hosting a job fair Monday and Tuesday in partnership with the Kenosha County Job Center.
The job fair features employers with a variety of open positions including health care, production and food service.
The event is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. at the Job Center, 8600 Sheridan Road.
Employers include Froedert South, Kenosha Beef, Aleph Southern Home Homes, L&M Corrugated Containers Corp., Kwik Trip, Denny’s and more.
Southeastern WORKs is a part of the Southeastern Workforce Development Board that supports the workforce needs of Kenosha, Racine and Walworth counties.
Tattoo shop seeks to aid families, pets
The Kenosha Tattoo Co., 3012 30th Ave., is looking to sponsor a family this Christmas that needs a helping hand.
“We have been extremely blessed with your support and want to continue to give back to the community,” owner Jon Principe said.
“We are hoping to start this tradition this year and continue adding an additional family every year until we hit 10 total.”
The business is also collecting pet food as well for the local humane society shelter and currently has more than 300 pounds, hoping to hit 1,000 pounds by Christmas.

Local companies earn federal contracts
The following are the federal contracts awarded to local companies Dec. 6-12:
CNH Industrial America LLC, Racine, was awarded a $32,674.35 federal contract from the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime, Columbus, Ohio, for metering fuel pumps.
Twin Disc Inc., Racine, was awarded a $51,441.06 federal contract from the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime, Columbus, Ohio, for mechanical housings.
IDSC Holdings LLC dba Snap-On Industrial, Kenosha, was awarded a $29,420.75 federal contract from the Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime, Columbus, Ohio, for hardware and abrasives.
