PLEASANT PRAIRIE — The building that houses the WIIL and WLIP radio stations will soon be home to a mortgage company.
Parkside Lending plans to move into 360 square feet of the building at 8500 Green Bay Road.
The village Plan Commission Monday approved a conditional use permit, including site and operational plans, for RS Capital LLC, which intends to purchase the property from Alpha Media LLC and lease office space to Parkside Lending.
The remainder of the building will temporarily remain occupied by WIIL/WLIP for the next six-to-nine months until the stations relocate to the Gurnee Mills shopping mall.
The existing 411-foot radio tower and associated on-site easement area that includes access through the parking lot to the tower will remain on site and be used by Alpha Media.
When the radio stations vacate the building, either Parkside Lending will occupy the entire building or it may lease part of the building to another user.
Parkside Lending is proposed to be open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. with five full-time employees.
WIIL/WLIP is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays with 15 full-time employees.
