I|C Construction of Milwaukee recently broke ground on the construction of an 800-unit self-storage facility in Pleasant Prairie.

Bruno and Lori Haney acquired a 5.44-acre parcel at 9001 Wilmot Road where the facility is being built.

This will be the third self-storage development for the Hanneys — they have facilities in West Bend and Grafton — and the first of its kind in the Pleasant Prairie area.

Once complete, the building will be managed by Extra Space Storage Inc., a third-party management firm specializing in management of storage units.

The storage facility provides drive-in access, climate control, high security with surveillance inside and out, discreet access codes to enter and exit the facility, in-motion LED lighting and jazz music piped throughout the property.

The facility is staffed with a full management team, not only keeping the facility and property clean, but also providing concierge-type services to customers.

This facility was designed by in. studio architecture of Milwaukee. I|C Construction has the project scheduled for completion in January.
