Police arrested a man after he was accused of assaulting a woman on two separate occasions earlier this month.

The 37-year-old man was taken into custody after the victim reported the two incidents to authorities on May 8, according to a Kenosha Police Department report. Police recommended charges of battery and disorderly conduct, both involving domestic violence.

According to the report, the first incident took place at 8 p.m. on May 2 when he grabbed and pinched a woman around her stomach during an argument at an undisclosed location in Kenosha. The man called the woman derogatory names during the argument. Police noted the woman had a large bruise on her stomach, which she said was a result of the incident.

During the second incident, which occurred 12 hours later on May 3, the woman said the man struck her face, leaving scratches on her face at the time, according to the report.
