Deputies arrested a Silver Lake man for resisting arrest after he allegedly tried to break into a home in the 600 block of Fifth Court last week.
The 59-year-old man was taken into custody in the 10:14 p.m. Tuesday incident, according to a Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department report. Authorities recommended a charge of obstruction and resisting arrest in the incident.
According to the report, the caller told authorities that the man was intoxicated and trying to break into the home and possibly was armed. When deputies arrived at the scene, the suspect initially followed a deputy’s command, but when ordered to get on his stomach, he refused.
According to the report, a deputy had to strike the man three times in the lower torso area while the other deputy got ahold of the suspect’s left hand. They had been trying to handcuff him.
Authorities found no weapons or illegal substances, although they noted the suspect appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, according to the report.
Boy detained after punching teacher
Kenosha police detained a boy after he was accused of punching a teacher in the chest at Hillcrest School on Tuesday.
The boy was taken into custody following the 9:30 a.m. incident, according to a Kenosha Police Department report. Police recommended charges of battery and battery to school employees.
According to the report, the man had stepped between two students who were about to fight in an attempt to break up the altercation.
The man said, when he did so, the boy became angry and punched him in the arm and then in the chest, causing the man physical pain and discomfort. The boy was then suspended and referred to juvenile intake, according to the report. He was later escorted to his home and released to a parent.
Man accused of assaulting woman
Police arrested a man after he was accused of assaulting a woman on two separate occasions earlier this month.
The 37-year-old man was taken into custody after the victim reported the two incidents to authorities on May 8, according to a Kenosha Police Department report. Police recommended charges of battery and disorderly conduct, both involving domestic violence.
According to the report, the first incident took place at 8 p.m. on May 2 when he grabbed and pinched a woman around her stomach during an argument at an undisclosed location in Kenosha. The man called the woman derogatory names during the argument. Police noted the woman had a large bruise on her stomach, which she said was a result of the incident.
During the second incident, which occurred 12 hours later on May 3, the woman said the man struck her face, leaving scratches on her face at the time, according to the report.
