A Trevor teenager is being held on a $15,000 bond, charged with a felony after he reportedly filmed himself groping a girl who was asleep.
Jorge E. Zatarain, 18, a student at Wilmot High School, was charged Monday with second-degree sexual assault of an unconscious victim and two counts of capturing an intimate representation without consent.
According to the criminal complaint, the incident was reported to the Twin Lakes Police Department Saturday.
The complaint states that a group of teenagers stayed overnight at a home in Twin Lakes Friday into Saturday. The teenagers had been drinking.
An adult at the home, the mother of a 17-year-old girl who had been at the party, went into a room to check on the girl.
The woman told police she saw Zatarain standing over the sleeping girl with his phone in his hand while exposing himself. The woman took the phone from Zatarain and turned it over to police.
According to the criminal complaint, Twin Lakes police viewed video on the phone through Zatarain’s Snapchat account, which allegedly shows someone masturbating while groping the unconscious girl.
The complaint states “the female appeared to be sleeping as she did not move during the video.”
The complaint states that Zatarain admitted he had been drinking and “went back and forth between saying he didn’t remember and only knew what others told him.”
According to the complaint, Zatarain is also under investigation for a similar incident in the past.
