Kenosha Police have called off a search for evidence in connection with a death reported last month.

The evidentiary search began in the early morning hours in a wooded area near 50th Street and 52nd Avenue as part of an investigation into a death that reportedly took place in the 3700 block of 45th Street in late July.

More than two dozen officers, including deputies from the Kenosha County Sheriff's Department, were on the scene, along with a police dog and a drone.

At one point, officers walked into the area side-by-side with arms outstretched to canvass the area.

Around 2:30 p.m., the search was suspended, with no reports of significant findings.

The search was related to the investigation of a death that reportedly took place in the 3700 block of 45th Street in late July.

The individuals involved in the death investigation are currently being interviewed at the Kenosha Police Department.

Police said there is no danger to the community at this time.
