Kiersten Richel, 23, of Winthrop Harbor, Ill., was charged with substantial battery and disorderly conduct Wednesday, alleged to have seriously injured a woman she reportedly kicked in the face during a tavern fight.

According to the criminal complaint, Kenosha Police were called to Fec’s Place, 5523 6th Ave., at 12:07 a.m. Wednesday. They found a 27-year-old woman bleeding heavily from the face, her eye swollen shut and her eyelid split. The woman was later transferred to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa for treatment of her injuries.

The complaint states that Richel got into a physical fight with another woman over a dispute about Donald Trump. Richel is alleged to have punched that women repeatedly in the face. The 27-year-old woman tried to intervene, and Richel is alleged to have knocked her to the ground and kicked her in the face.

Richel was released on a signature bond.
