HILO, Hawaii — Police have arrested a man in connection with a spear that was taken from King Kamehameha’s statue on Hawaii’s Big Island.

The top section of the spear held by a statue of the Hawaiian warrior was reported missing Sunday. Detectives returned to the scene Tuesday when they found the missing spear section in overgrowth on the banks of a channel behind the statue.

Police said the spear was forcibly removed from the lower staff section.

Kamehameha the First is known for uniting the Hawaiian islands in 1810. The statue in downtown Hilo near Wailoa State Park is one of several bearing his likeness.

POLICE: MAN URINATES ON PASSENGERS ON FLIGHT

PORTLAND, Ore. — An Oregon man is facing charges after he allegedly urinated on passengers on a flight into Portland International Airport.

Jeff Rubin, 27, was arrested early Friday after the JetBlue flight arrived from Anchorage, Alaska.

The report says he lost his balance and fell backward, urinating on passengers, seats and luggage next to him.

Rubin spent about five hours in jail. He faces charges of criminal mischief and offensive littering.

DISNEY WORLD TO END HOLIDAY LIGHT SHOW

ORLANDO, Fla. — Darth Vader’s in. Santa Claus is out.

Walt Disney World on Friday announced this will be the last year of the Christmas lights show at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights has been a Christmas tradition at Disney World for the past 20 years.

Disney officials say the theme park is unable to put on the lights after this year because of plans to use the space for new Stars Wars and Toy Story themed areas.

The Christmas light spectacle features millions of lights synchronized to holiday music. The spectacle started as a family tradition at the Arkansas home of Jennings Osborne and moved to Disney World in 1995.
