HIBBS, Pa. — Police say a shotgun-wielding robber told a southwestern Pennsylvania pizza shop clerk he was having a “bad day.”

State police say the man entered the Fox’s Pizza shop in Hibbs at about 8:15 p.m. Friday carrying the gun and a camouflage bag.

Police say the man demanded cash and at one point told the female clerk she wasn’t moving fast enough and had 10 seconds before he grabbed the money and ran away.

The clerk wasn’t hurt. The robber also had a camouflage jacket, pants, mask and black gloves.

The shop is in German Township, Fayette County. That’s about 40 miles south of Pittsburgh.

WOMAN SEES SPIDER, JUMPS FROM CAR BEFORE CRASH

SYRACUSE, Ind. — A northern Indiana woman who jumped from her moving car after discovering a spider on her shoulder, leading to a crash that injured her 9-year-old son, likely won’t face charges.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department Sgt. Chad Hill says Angela Kipp, of Syracuse, was backing the car out of her driveway Friday afternoon when she saw the spider and leaped out while the car was in reverse.

Her son in the back seat climbed into the driver’s seat and tried to step on the brake. He instead hit the gas pedal, sending the vehicle into a school bus. He was taken to a hospital with minor head injuries. No children were on the bus. Its driver wasn’t injured.

Hill said Monday that Kipp likely won’t be charged.

MURDER SUSPECT GETS IN BATTLE WITH CELL MATE

LIMA, Ohio — A jailed murder suspect and another inmate who was about to testify against him got into a fight in a holding cell after a guard mistakenly put the two together, officials said.

The men weren't handcuffed when the guard put them in a cell during a break in the trial this week, and an investigation will be conducted on how it happened, Allen County Sheriff Sam Crish told The Lima News. He said authorities broke up the altercation within two minutes, and the men suffered only minor injuries.

The holding cell was out of public view, but the fight was recorded on video that the judge allowed the jury in the suspect's trial to see Thursday after denying a defense request for a mistrial because of the fight.

WLIO-TV says the video shows defendant Markelus Carter punch the other inmate, who is then seen putting Carter in a headlock and throwing some punches before Carter bites him on the arm and guards break up the fight.
