Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha will be offering something new to local kids and families this summer.
The club will be offering summer programming at Roosevelt Park, in partnership with the city of Kenosha Parks Alliance and funding from the city. The program is free and open to kids in kindergarten through fifth grade; children must be at least 6 years old. The site will be open Monday through Friday from noon to 5:30 p.m. from June 24 through Aug. 9.
Summer activities for kids at Roosevelt Park will include arts and crafts, movies, sports, games, educational activities and more. A free and nutritious lunch is included daily for each attendee.
Several community organizations will contribute to enrichment programming at Roosevelt Park throughout the summer. The YMCA will offer swimming lessons; the Kenosha Kingfish will conduct two baseball clinics; members will go on a field trip to the Kenosha Tall Ships; the Carthage College music department will conduct music lessons; and the Kenosha Public Library Bookmobile will be on site every Monday.
A parent information session will be held at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha on Thursday, June 6, at 6 p.m.
