Fall Fun Fest, Migratory Bird Day events set

A bird’s eye view will be possible this year during Pringle Nature Center’s annual Fall Fun Fest and International Migratory Bird Day, Saturday, Sept. 21, via the Boundless Adventures high ropes course — and will be free that day for Friends of Pringle Nature Center.

The annual event, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., features local green business and non-profit exhibitors, a bird walk, hay rides, monarch butterfly tag and release, a birds of prey program, children’s theater, crafts and live music.

The theme is “Protect Birds: Be the Solution to Plastic Pollution.” It is a collaboration of Kenosha County Parks, the Hoy Audubon Society and the Kenosha Public Museum.

Admission to the event is free. However, food and some activities require tickets. Friends of Pringle receive five tickets and free admission to Boundless Adventures that day.

Membership levels start at $20 for individuals and $35 for families and include perks throughout the year.

Proceeds from Fall Fun Fest go to environmental education programming at Pringle Nature Center.
