‘Walk with a Doc’ takes place Sunday
KENOSHA — Kenosha’s monthly “Walk with a Doc” will take place noon to 1 p.m. Sunday at the outdoor track at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, 900 Wood Road.
This is a free monthly event for people of all ages. During each one-hour walk, participants connect with other people and walk to improve their health.
Dr. Mary Eldridge, a clinical lipidologist and integrative medicine doctor, will do a brief presentation about a medical topic at the start of the program.
After, she will walk and talk with participants.

Cancer survivors invited to breakfast
KENOSHA — A Relay for Life cancer survivors breakfast will take place 9 a.m. to noon Sunday at St. Catherine’s Commons, 3524 Seventh Ave.
The breakfast is free for survivors. Cost for family and friends is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
Cancer survivors will receive their 2019 survivor T-shirt and pin.
‘Drag Queen Story Time’ set for Sunday
KENOSHA — “Drag Queen Story Time,” presented by Kenosha Pride, will take place 10 to 11 a.m. Sunday in Library Park, 711 59th Place.
Youth pottery workshop Sunday
KENOSHA — A youth pottery workshop meets 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at Lemon Street Gallery, 4601 Sheridan Road.
Ages 9 and older are invited to learn the basics of throwing on a potter’s wheel.
The cost is $25.

Canoe/kayak outing set by Sierra Club
RICHMOND, Ill. — The Southeast Gateway Group of the Sierra Club is hosting a canoe/kayak trip down Nippersink Creek in Glacial Park in McHenry County, Ill., and part of the Hackmatack National Wildlife Refuge System.
Participants will meet at 1 p.m. at the Keystone Road Landing parking lot (6500 Keystone Road, Richmond, Ill.) and do a car transfer to the Pioneer Road landing.
The trip downstream will last about two hours. There are 10 riffles which will challenge the group to find the ideal navigation.

Crafting activity set at Southwest Library
KENOSHA — “In The Making” takes place 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at Southwest Library, 7979 38th Ave.
Attendees will take part in crafting activities. The theme is “Galaxy & Moon Watercoloring.”
Supplies are limited. Spaces are first come, first serve.
Garden tour is Sunday in Burlington
BURLINGTON — Thee Burlington Area Garden Club Tour and Raffle will be 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.
Garden enthusiasts are invited to view five gardens in and around Burlington.
Artists from The Gathering will display their works. Raffle items will be displayed at each garden.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at Burlington Garden Center, Richter’s Marketplace, Gooseberries Fresh Food Market, Breezy Hill Nursery in Salem Lakes or Mileager’s in Sturtevant.
