On October 16, the Assembly Committee on Health held a public hearing on Assembly Bills 313, 314, and 317 all relating to Lyme Disease awareness and prevention. The legislative package author, Rep. Jeff Mursau (R-Crivitz), described Lyme Disease as being the fastest growing infectious diseases in the U.S. and is the most common tick-related disease in Wisconsin. A mother and son testified in support of the legislative package by sharing their challenging story with the disease.
