Kenosha Police are investigating a report that a 13-year-old girl was abducted near her home then left in a ditch in Pleasant Prairie.

Passersby found the girl in a ditch in the 9500 block of Old Green Bay Road at 11:47 a.m. Friday.

Police released information about the incident Wednesday after an inquiry from the Kenosha News.

According to police, when the first police officer arrived, he said the girl was unconscious, but regained consciousness before an ambulance arrived. She was taken to the Aurora Medical Center emergency room.

The teen told Kenosha Police her family had already left for the morning when she had taken her dog outside at about 8:30 a.m.

She took the dog back inside, then went out to clean up after the dog.

She was outside in the 5400 block of 60th Street when, she told police, three men grabbed her and put her in a van.

She told police she did not remember what occurred later.

Police are continuing to investigate, including looking for security video from the area or witnesses who may have seen the incident.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Kenosha Police Department Detective Bureau at 262-605-5203. To remain anonymous, call Kenosha Area Crime Stoppers at 262-656-7333.
