From the Top 10 stories of October 2019 series

A 31-year-old Kenosha woman involved in a motorcycle crash Thursday afternoon has died.

Lt. Eric Klinkhammer of the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department said the woman died overnight at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa.

The woman’s identity has not been released pending notification of family.

Authorities said the woman was driving her Harley-Davidson motorcycle east on Highway KR in the town of Paris at about 4 p.m. Thursday when a 19-year-old woman driving a Hyundai Tucson west on KR attempted to turn south onto 144th Avenue and drove into the path of the motorcycle.

The crash is still under investigation. Klinkhammer said the speed of the motorcycle appears to be a factor.

Investigators said alcohol use does not appear to be involved in the crash.
