A 32-year-old man drowned in Lake Michigan at the beach near Eichelman Park around 6:30 p.m. Friday, according to the Kenosha Police Department.
Reports indicated beachgoers initially reported that a man in his 30s went under the water at the park.
Kenosha Police said the man was located and pulled from the water by members of the Kenosha Fire Department. Online reports indicated he was found about 25 feet from shore in about six feet of water.
Officials said the man was pulled from the water, CPR was performed and he was taken to a Froedtert South Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities did not disclose the name of the victim. Details of the incident have not yet been released.
The incident remains under investigation.
