BRIGHTON — No injuries were reported early Thursday when a van collided with a school bus in Brighton.
According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, the crash occurred about 6:37 a.m. at the intersections of highways 142 and 75.
The Dousman Transport Co. school bus, transporting two students from Central High School, was southbound on Highway 75, making a left turn onto eastbound Highway 142 when a northbound Grand Caravan entered the intersection and collided with the bus.
Deputies said the Grand Caravan stopped at the stop sign for Highway 142 and continued north through the intersection as the school bus was finishing its left turn.
Both vehicles were damaged, but no injuries were reported.
The operator of the Grand Caravan was issued citations for operating with a revoked driver’s license, failure to yield the right of way and driving with no insurance.
