Three Kenosha Unified school principals got “slimed” as the result of a charity fundraising competition.
Six schools — Whittier, Prairie Lane, Pleasant Prairie, Nash, Stocker and Jeffery — took part in the challenge. Whittier, Prairie Lane and Pleasant Prairie formed Team 1, while the remaining schools formed Team 2.
The competition was to see which team could collect the most canned goods, toothpaste, shampoo/conditioner, Kleenex and deodorant to aid those in need in the community.
The schools collected more than 6,000 deodorants, 3,000 bottles of shampoo/conditioner, 2,000 tubes of toothpaste, 1,300 boxes of tissue and 2,500 cans of food.
Team 1 was the winning team by just 260 points. As a reward, the students from Team 1 got to slime the principals from Team 2 at “Slimetastic Assemblies” on Thursday.
