PLEASANT PRAIRIE — A shared-use path has been proposed for Highway C in Pleasant Prairie.

A public information on the proposal will take place 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Jan. 29 in the Pleasant Prairie Village Hall, 9915 39th Ave.

Kenosha County, in partnership with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, is proposing the construction of the path between 114th Avenue and Bain Station Road.

This project consists of the construction of the shared-use path, boardwalk and pedestrian bridge crossing the Des Plaines River on the south side of Highway C, according to a village press release.

The meeting will provide residents with additional information regarding the construction schedule and how it will affect traffic.

Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting, where representatives from the county and contractor will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
