Two people were airlifted to Milwaukee-area hospitals and one driver fled the scene after a head-on collision early Saturday.
Six people were hurt in the crash reported about 3 a.m. in the 12100 block of 259th Avenue, according to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputies said the head-on collision involved a northbound Infiniti and a southbound Kia.
Flight for Life airlifted two patients to Froedtert Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. The other four were taken to local hospitals.
Based on the number of patients, additional ambulances were requested to the scene from Antioch, Ill., Bristol and Twin Lakes.
The driver of the Infiniti fled the scene prior to the arrival of first responders. All of the occupants of the two vehicle have been identified, but their names have not been released by authorities.
