A Kenosha man was taken to a local hospital following a shooting in the 1500 block of 61st Street early Sunday.
Officers and paramedics responded to a 1:58 a.m. report of the man suffering from two gunshot wounds at the home, according to Capt. Brad Hetlet of the Kenosha Police Department. Hetlet said when they arrived they found the man on the floor of his home, and officers provided assistance to prevent further bleeding until rescue arrived.
The man underwent surgery immediately after. His condition was not known.
“They don’t believe (his wounds) are life-threatening,” Hetlet said.
The shooting remains under investigation.
