Police arrest woman for domestic violence

Police arrested a Kenosha woman after she was accused of pushing and grabbing the hair of a man at a home in the 1900 block of 62nd Street Saturday night.

The 24-year-old woman was taken into custody after the 6:45 p.m. incident, according to a Kenosha Police Department report. Police recommended charges of battery while armed and disorderly conduct, both involving domestic violence.

According to the report, the woman punched the 26-year-old man in the face, hit him with a VCR and threw a knife at him. The knife missed him, landing a distance away.

The man had a bloody lip, but refused medical attention, according to the report.

Police seek youths who stole vehicle

Police are seeking four suspects who reportedly stole a vehicle from a gas station Saturday.

According to a Kenosha Police Department report, the owner of the vehicle left the vehicle running as he went inside the station at Kenosha Gas Shop, 2207 60th St., shortly before 1 p.m. to prepay for fuel.

When he exited, the man said he saw the youths, ages 11 to 13, drive away in his vehicle, southbound on 22nd Avenue, according to the report.

Man, woman resist arrest after incident

Kenosha police arrested a man and woman after calls of a battery in a neighborhood in the 6200 block of 22nd Avenue early Friday.

Officers took the 45-year-old man and 49-year-old woman, both of Kenosha, into custody after the 3:06 a.m. altercation, according to a Kenosha Police Department report.

Police recommended charges of disorderly conduct involving domestic violence and obstructing and resisting for both. The woman was also arrested on a warrant from another agency.

According to the report, an officer saw the couple shoving each other and yelling profanities. When the officer tried to intervene,the man reportedly yelled profanities at the officer and clenched his fists.

The officer used pepper spray to subdue the man, though he continued to resist with other officers took him into custody, according to the report.

When the officer attempted to speak to the woman, she became confrontational and denied any problems, according to the report.

The woman, who was found to have a warrant, also resisted arrest, police said, and kicking the squad car window continually.

Police chase, arrest man; drugs found

A Kenosha man was arrested on a felony drug charge after police tried to find a stolen vehicle in the 1500 block of 61st Street Thursday.

The 26-year-old man was taken into custody in the 10:56 a.m. incident, according to a Kenosha Police Department report. Police recommended charges of felony possession of marijuana and obstructing and resisting.

According to the report, the man was walking away when an officer asked him to stop. Instead, the man ran, but was eventually taken into custody.

A search later turned up a bag of marijuana, found along a fence in the 1400 block of 61st Street., according to the report. The bag contained 22 grams of marijuana.
