Registered sex offenders to be released into community

PLEASANT PRAIRIE — Police have announced that two convicted sex offenders will soon be released and living in the village.

John P. Kleaver, 77, and Gladstone T. Curtis, 63, will be moved to a residence in the 11200 block of 120th Court in the village after their release from prison.

Kleaver’s related offenses include the sexual assaults of a pre-teen and teenage boys. Curtis’ offenses include the sexual assaults of pre-teen relatives and pre-teen acquaintances.

Both are lifetime registrants of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registration Program and will be electronically monitored, according to authorities.

They are required to have no unsupervised contact with minors and no contact with the victims of their offenses, and are not to consume any drugs.

Police said their criminal histories place them in a classification level that reflects the potential to re-offend.

Neither man is wanted by police at this time.

Police said any abuse of this information to threaten, intimidate or harass the men will not be tolerated.
