The Tuesday, August 11 primary election will be record-breaking based on last week's numbers from the Wisconsin Elections Commission showing 892,411 applications for absentee ballots with 460,987 returned. In the 2018 primary, 108,162 absentee ballots were returned. "I would be surprised if we see all 800 and some thousand absentee ballots returned by Tuesday," editor JR Ross said during Rewind: Your Week in Review highlighting that voters who requested their ballots may only utilize it for November's general election.
