"If people believe that [wearing a mask] is an appropriate thing to do, then they ought to continue to do it," Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty Founder, President and General Counsel Rick Esenberg said during a Newsmakers interview. "I do it, but whether or not the governor can mandate it, and whether or not if he can mandate it, he can do it pursuant to this emergency power, the declaration of the new emergency, those are the issues that are presented in the litigation." Esenberg, whose law firm has sued to overturn first face mask order and will soon seek an injunction enjoining the second face mask order, discussed whether average Wisconsin citizens should wear face masks in light of the controversy.
