Madison schools among those closed Wednesday across area due to winter storm

The Madison School District doesn't close all of its schools for weather often, but Wednesday is one such day, the district announced. 

The district said in a news release Wednesday morning that all schools will be closed Wednesday, and MSCR, athletics and other evening activities also are canceled for Wednesday.

The major winter storm that started hitting southern Wisconsin on Tuesday and won't move out till later Wednesday has closed schools across the area, according to the school closing list at Channel3000.com.
