SOMERS — A woman suffered suspected minor injuries in a two-car collision that occurred in the 1400 block of Sheridan Road late Friday, according to a Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department report.
Nicole Jean Pietsch, 37, of Racine, was transported to Kenosha Medical Center following the crash that occurred shortly after 10 p.m. According to the report, the woman had been trapped in the vehicle and rescue workers extricated her from the car. Her condition was not known. The driver of the second vehicle Alvaro Zacarias, 28, of Waukegan, Ill., was not injured.
The crash occurred when the woman’s northbound vehicle crossed the center line and struck a southbound vehicle, according to the report. The vehicle continued north for about 100 feet before coming to rest along a curb. The second vehicle continued south following the collision and came to rest about 25 feet south of the impact.
According to the report, Pietsch told the deputy she did not remember what happened prior to the crash. She was cited for operating left center, no insurance and for not wearing a seat belt.
